Grants for the Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling Degree
The Personal Construct Education Trust (PCET) is pleased to announce the availability of six grants to support students enrolling on the Postgraduate Course in Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling at the University of Padua.

Two grants of £250 each, sponsored and established by the Personal Construct Psychology Association (PCPA) in memory of Dennis Bury.

Four grants of €800 each, offered by the Personal Construct Education Trust (PCET).
Applicants may apply for both types of grants.
The purpose of these awards is to assist with course fees and to encourage participation in this programme, which continues to advance the study and practice of Personal Construct Psychology.
The deadline for applications is the 5th of October 2025.

The purpose and benefits of the Trust are:
Purpose: To advance the education of the public in general (and particularly students) on the subject of Personal Construct Psychology and psychotherapy by awarding to persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher, further or community education to undertake study of this subject
Benefits: By providing grants to educational establishments and individual students, the extension of educational opportunities that will provide for the training of individuals in a range of fields, including helping professions, in an evidence-based psychological approach. By providing research grants, extension of the evidence base for this approach.
PC2 Pre-Enrolment
We are pleased to announce the pre-enrolment for the third edition of the University of Padua and University of Hertfordshire's Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling (PC2) short specialisation programme, which opens new opportunities for students and professionals in the field. This programme, which we supported through grants during this year’s spring school, offers advanced competencies and practical tools in Personal Construct Psychology. The course is designed for professionals in health, well-being, social care, education, and public service sectors, and provides training for both national and international contexts. The pre-enrollment deadline is set for October 8, 2024, and the program is conducted entirely in English through a blended format, including online lessons and two residential stays.
The Personal Construct Education Trust is proud to have supported this initiative, providing several students who attended this year’s spring school with grants that had their lodging costs covered, removing financial barriers and allowing them to fully engage with the educational content. We remain committed to encouraging access to this programme, helping students immerse themselves in this learning experience that fosters professional growth and long-term connections. Spring School for the Personal Construct Psychology
and Counselling programme

This year's spring school for the University of Padua's Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling programme was a notable event, held at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, which brought together students from five countries. The students attended classes and collaborated on projects over three days, marking both cohorts' inaugural gathering. Experts such as Joanne Robinson, Ian Gillman-Smith, and David Winter held sessions on themes ranging from childhood interventions to courtroom dynamics and constructivism.
This event was supported by the Personal Construct Education Trust. The grants provided by the Trust covered student lodging costs, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. By removing financial restraints, the grants allowed students to fully immerse themselves in the educational opportunities offered at the spring school, maximising the value of their participation.
The spring school provided a forum for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of long-term connections. The spring school’s success emphasises the importance of collaboration and support within the academic community, which furthers the Personal Construct Education Trust's aim to promote education and personal growth.
