The Trust is dedicated to financially supporting those wanting to study or train in Personal Construct Psychology, assisting courses to develop teaching in PCP, and also providing resources to support research relevant to PCP.

We fund individuals and courses internationally for these purposes, on an annual basis. We provide educational support for courses and provide grants for candidates who have a demonstrable need and would not otherwise be able to undertake their programme of study or research. The Trust makes awards based upon the recommendation of its Trustees and in accordance with its purposes as defined within the Trust Deed. The Trustees consider all applications and decide on the allocation of funds according to a number of criteria. Candidates are required to show how they expect to be able to operate for the Public Benefit on completion of their course provision, educational experience, or research activity through a questionnaire, interview and provision of references.

The most direct immediate beneficiaries will be students in receipt of grants, or trained on programmes that have received financial support, who will then go on to apply personal construct psychology principles in the wide range of fields aforementioned. Members of the public at every level of society will benefit as recipients of such interventions by these students (once graduated), for example by receiving personal construct counselling or psychotherapy if they are in need of such services. The effectiveness of these approaches, with individuals, couples and families presenting with a very wide range of mental and physical problems across the age spectrum, is supported by an extensive evidence base reported in numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals (references can be provided if required).
